The Malus Toringo 'Freja' is a small, ornamental crab apple tree prized for its multi-season interest.

Essential Characteristics:

Size: Small deciduous tree , typically reaching about 4–6 meters in height.

Flowers: Abundant dark-pink buds opening to bright or delicate pink flowers in spring. 

Foliage: Leaves emerge with a purple/burgundy hue, maturing to a dark greenish-red, and offering gorgeous golden-yellow autumn color. 

Fruit: Small, decorative crab apples. They are initially red, often ripening to a red-yellow or dark red in autumn. 

Wildlife: The flowers are a good source of nectar and pollen for bees , and the persistent small fruits are loved by birds. 

Branches: Features distinctive purple branches.
