MN8 Gardens – Shipping Policy

Currently we are not offering shipping to all products for operational reasons with couriers companies. We are offering local delivery on products in the vicinity of 30km from the nursery. A minimum order value of €50 applies and a nominal charge shall be applied subject to agreement. 

For local orders (30km) over €100 in value delivery shall be free of charge when goods  are paid in full. 

Pick up from the nursery is also available. Please contact us for further details. 

At MN8 Gardens we understand that receiving healthy, vibrant plants is crucial for your gardening success. We've partnered with reliable courier services to ensure your trees and plants arrive in the best possible condition.

1. Shipping Days & Order Cut-off

  • We dispatch orders on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays to ensure your plants spend the least amount of time in transit over weekends.
  • Orders placed after 12:00 PM (noon) on Tuesday] will be dispatched on the next available shipping day. For example, an order placed at 5:00 PM on Tuesday will be dispatched on the following Monday if it is not possible to get this order out on the Wednesday.
  • Orders can be placed on line and collected at the nursery by appointment. It currently takes at least 24 hours to process the orders and have your order ready for collection. We will send you an email notification when ready for collection at an agreed time frame.

2. Packaging for Safe Transit

  • All plants are carefully selected, inspected, and expertly packaged to withstand the rigours of courier delivery.
  • We use sturdy, purpose-built packaging materials to protect foliage, roots, and pots, minimising movement and potential damage during transit.
  • Larger trees and delicate plants may be secured to prevent shifting.

3. Delivery Times

  • Once dispatched, most orders within the Republic of Ireland are delivered within 2-3 working days.
  • Please note that while we aim for these delivery times, they are estimates provided by our courier partners and are not guaranteed. Rural areas may experience slightly longer delivery times.
  • You will receive a shipping confirmation email once your order has been dispatched.

4. Shipping Costs

  • Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on the size, weight, and quantity of the plants in your order, as well as your delivery location.
    • Standard shipping fee: €15.00 per order.
    • Heavy/Oversize item surcharge: An additional €[Amount] may apply to very large trees.
    • However, larger plants and quantities will incur higher delivery charges, up to €75 for pallet/bulk delivery
  • All shipping costs will be clearly displayed before you complete your purchase at the checkout stage.
  • Some larger items will only be click and collect from store due to their size.

5. Delivery Address & Special Instructions

  • Please ensure your delivery address is accurate and complete, including any Eircode. We cannot be held responsible for delays or non-delivery resulting from incorrect address information.
  • If you have specific delivery instructions (e.g., "leave with neighbour at No. 5," "leave by the shed"), please add them to the 'Order Notes' section at checkout. While we will pass these instructions to the courier, we cannot guarantee they will be fulfilled in all circumstances.

6. Receiving Your Order

  • Someone should ideally be available to receive the delivery.
  • If no one is available, the courier may attempt to leave the parcel in a safe, sheltered location. If no safe place is available, a 'Failed Delivery' card will be left with instructions on how to arrange re-delivery or collection from a local depot.
  • Please note that live plants should not be left in packaging for extended periods. It is crucial to unbox and attend to your plants as soon as possible after delivery.

7. Undeliverable Orders

  • If an order is returned to us due to an incorrect address provided by the customer, or if multiple delivery attempts fail, and the customer does not collect from the depot, additional shipping charges will apply for re-delivery.
  • In such cases, we cannot be held responsible for the health of the plants after prolonged transit or storage due to failed delivery attempts.

8. International Shipping

  • At this time, we only ship within the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. We do not offer international shipping due to the complexities of plant health certificates, customs, and the stress of extended transit on live plants.
